He is survived by: his wife Paula; his sisters, Denise Gilligan (Gerry) and Danielle Huisman (Jason); his sister-in-law Jana Runyon; his nieces and nephews, Gerald Gilligan (Julie), Ryan Gilligan (Jen), Lauren Arthur (Matt), Samantha Gillooley, Amanda Gillooley and Sean Huisman; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Gerald, Jr., Aiden, Eilis, Jude, Michael and Sadie; and his children, Koko, Gracie, Abbey, Lola and Hazel.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Maher Funeral Home Tinley Park (17101 71st Ave, Tinley Park, IL 60477). A Mass was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. George Catholic Church (6707 175th St, Tinley Park, IL 60477). A burial was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery (16201 104th Ave, Orland Park, IL 60467).
