He is survived by: his spouse Barbara; his children, Richard Jr. (Colleen) and Kimberley Zagotta (Christopher); his grandchildren, Aarhon, Ellie, Gabriella, Jake and Sophie; and his siblings, John O'Dowd (Marilyn) and Robert Smolik (Maureen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
