She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband William J. "Bill" Gouwens; her sons, Gregory (Dori) and Christopher Gouwens (Amber); her grandchildren, Logan, Rylee and Piper; and her brother James Kolodziej (Carol). She was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 9:15 AM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony Church (7659 W Sauk Trail, Frankfort, IL 60423). A Mass was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. Anthony Church (17909 S 94th Ave, Tinley Park, IL 60487). A burial was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at the Good Shepherd Cemetery (16201 S 104th Ave, Palos Park, IL 60467).
