He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Gaikowski and Helen Gaikowski; and his siblings, Emily Weber (late Jack) and Edmund Gaikowski (late Helen). He is survived by: his wife Mary Gaikowski; his children, Robert Gaikowski (Michaeline), Susan Corrigan (late Thomas) and Kenneth Gaikowski (Andrea); his granddaughters, Sara McInerney (Kevin), Amanda Gaikowski (Chad Hanley), Emily Gaikowski Knight and Christine Murphy (James); his great grandchildren, Tyler Knight, Dylan Knight, Maven McInerney, James Murphy and Addison Murphy; and his brother Michael Gaikowski (late Delores).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel (102 East Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451). A Mass was held on Wednesday, April 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. George Catholic Church (6707 175th St, Tinley Park, IL 60477).
