He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joyce M. Boersma; his children, Janice Tiggelaar (Richard), Thomas Boersma (Mischelle), Nancy Triezenberg (Mark) and Carolyn Colangelo (Steve); his grandchildren, Marika Birkby (Damon), Peter Tiggelaar, Matthew Boersma, Brooke Dowling (Brian), Bridgette, Abigail, Stephanie Boersma, Cara, Tyler (Grace), Jordan, Heidi, Anna Triezenberg, Alex (Susan), Sam, Adam, Luke and Jillian Colangelo; his great grandchildren, Jack, Seth, Meilana, Trajan and Verity; his sister Dorothy Morgan (Robert); and his siblings-in-law, Thomas Brauer (late Diane) and Margaret (late Melvin).
Due to the unfortunate circumstances surrounding COVID-19 and for the safety of the family and community a private burial with military honors will be held.
