He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph S. Hayes and Norma J. Hayes (Boyd); his son Louis Hayes; and his brother Ronald Hayes. He is survived by: his wife Ann L. Hayes (Engelhardt); his children, Peter Hayes and Kathryn Hayes; and his brothers, Roger Hayes, Richard Hayes and Robert Hayes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
