She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Richard and Corine Richard; her siblings, John Richard, Christine Barry and Herbert Richard; her niece LaVerne Richard; and also Major L. Ray.
She is survived by: her spouse Major L. Ray; her children, Angela Bates (Michael Bates), Phillip Ray, Sr. (Yvonne), John Ray and Leila Ray; her grandchildren, Jason Ray, Phillip Ray, Jr., Marissa Griffith and Dana Weems; her great grandchildren, Jameson Ray and Jaliyah Ray; and her brother James Richard. She is also survived by two nieces; one nephew; and a host of great-nieces/nephews, cousins and friends.
