He was predeceased by: his wife Joann M. Menninga; his parents, Gysbert and Ethel; and his siblings, Setrith Menninga (Jean), Kathryn Braafhart (Nicholas), Elizabeth Van Dusseldorp (Gerald), Bernie Menninga (Grace) and Arlene Menninga.
He is survived by: his children, Laura Van Proyen (Arie), Mark Menninga (Nadine), Judy Santana and Alisa Bonnema (Mark); his grandchildren, Sarah Peterman (Brian), Marie Menninga, Elizabeth Menninga (Devon Inman), Olivia Reynhout (Kyle), Alexis Bonnema (Rick Bushey) and Cole Bonnema; his great grandchildren, Bennett and Delaney; and his siblings, Clarence Menninga (Irene), Alvin Menninga (Leanne), Gysbert Menninga (Sylvia), Larry Menninga (Mary Jo) and Phyllis Klapwyk (Reinier).
