He was predeceased by: his child Samantha; and his parent-in-law Giovanni Raimondi. He is survived by: his spouse Maria; his children, Alexander and Emma; his parents, Shirley Avelis and Julian Avelis; his siblings, Paul Avelis and Joseph Avelis; his parent-in-law Crocifissa Raimondi; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Raimondi (Sina) and Anthony Raimondi (Mandy). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
