With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ila Hopping (Timewell, Illinois), born in Sullivan, Indiana, who passed away on May 15, 2019 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Admiral Dewey Birchfield and Charline Ethel Birchfield (Crick); and her siblings, Raymond Page, Herbert Birchfield, Lila Stocke and Louise Page Pickering.
She is survived by: her stepdaughter Joyce Peterson of Kaufman; her children, Lila Charlene Lerch (Jim) of Mt. Sterling, Dana of Rushville and Michael of Timewell; her grandchildren, Jennifer Blaesing (Jim) of Mt. Sterling, Sarah Ruppel (Kevin) of Oakford, Gary and Greg Aaron; and her great grandchildren, Logan, Alexa, Mia Blaesing, Jackson, Alanna, Ryder and Gauge Ruppel.
Memorials are suggested to the First Lutheran Church of Mt. Sterling or the charity of the donor's choice.
