He is survived by: his wife Janet Lou Gruber; his son William A. "Billy" Wear Jr. (Sherry) of Tilton; his siblings, Floyd Wear and Doris Vanvekoven; his grandsons, William Robert Wear (Laine) and Chad Alan Wear (Desire); and his great grandchildren, Jocelyn Wear, Audrey Wear and Joyce Honn.
