He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Lee Boswell, Sr. and Eva Crow-Pickett; his stepfather Don Pickett; his brother Donald Lee Boswell, Jr.; and his granddaughter Adrianna Martinez.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Boswell; his daughters, Jessica Whitaker, Sarah Hester and Katie Boswell; and his grandchildren, Marissa, Christian, Angelina, Emily and Ethan. He is also survived by three brothers, and one sister and many nieces and nephews.
