With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Willene Vogel of Tilton, Illinois, born in Lexington, Kentucky, who passed away on November 16, 2020 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John William and Lucy Frances Overbay; her siblings, Elza, Evert Overbay, Viola Russell, Martha Alice Overbay and Lolamae Barnett; her stepdaughter Jessica Thorn; and her grandson William Sanderson.
She is survived by: her husband Oscar Smith; her children, Tim Smith (Jessica), Ronnie Smith (Tracy), Ricky Smith (Tiffany), Loretta Sanderson and Connie Smith; her son-in-law Jon Sanderson; her stepchildren, Aaron Vogel (Andrea), Joshua Schwartz and Alisa Sudlow (Paul); and her sisters, Louise Durham, Rosetta Overbay and Pauline Harris. She is also survived by her several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Due to health concerns, attendees are requested to wear face masks and practice social distancing.
Memorial donations may be given in her name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
