With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lula Powell of Tilton, Illinois, born in Danville, Illinois, who passed away on August 17, 2020 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lula Powell to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Crippin and Edna Crippin (Henderson); her husband Kelly Powell; her children, Darrell, Brian Powell and Kathy Powell; her siblings, Dorothy, Milton, Raymond, James, William and Clarence; and her grandchildren, Christopher and Karissa.
She is survived by: her children, Raymond Powell (Phyllis), Kalley Powell (Nancy), Kevin Powell (Rachel), Paul Powell, Steven Powell (Kelly), Chester Powell (Cheri), Mark Powell, Emily Bencomo and Carol Looper (Kyle); her daughters-in-law, Sheila Powell and Elizabeth Powell; and her brother Tom Crippin. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren, and multiple nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM on Friday, August 21, 2020 at Kruger Coan Pape Funeral Home, 10 E. Williams Street in Danville, with social distancing and IDPH guidelines being followed.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lula's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
