We bid farewell to Herkie Batley of Tilton, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 4, 2025 at the age of 97. Herkie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cedric Elliott and Zula Elliott (Evans); her grandparents, Harlan and Florence Evans; and her husband Loren E. Batley.
She is survived by: her aunt Mae Hieronymus (Elliott); her children, Timmie Batley (Joy), Skylar Batley, Jacki Batley and Shanita Reese (John); her daughter-in-law Ruth Batley; her grandchildren, Chad Batley, Skylar Batley Jr., Taylar Phoenix (Blaze), Chelle Bodart (Brian), Josh Batley (Tonia), Stephanie Tidwell (Gary), Seth Batley (GB), Riley Reese (Anna), Timmie Batley (Allyson), Greg McCall, Rozyln Stevenson and Jeff Stevenson; and her son Evert "Kip" Batley.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
