He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Whelan and Veronica Whelan; and his brothers, Jim Whelan, Edward Whelan (Marina), Leo Whelan and Tom Whelan.
He is survived by: his wife Glenys Whelan; his siblings, Mike, Terry (Doreen), Peter and Shirley (Leo); his nephew Wayne Hutchings (Kayla Bartlett); his great-niece Payton Hutchings; his siblings-in-law, Harold Hutchings, Norman Hutchings, Maxwell Hutchings, Wayne Sr. Hutchings (Marcy), Doug Russell, Phoebe Whelan, Alice Whelan, Bernice Russell (Ted), Clarice Nickels (Eric), Marilyn Winsor (Gerald), Violet Ivy (Bill), Gladys Mercer (Tom) and Daphne DeRosia; his siblings, Alice Newman (George), Theresa Smith (Cecil), Rose Earle, Mary Newman (Jim), Veronica Snow (Abner), John, Ralph and Bridget; his parents-in-law, Norman and Irene Hutchings; and his siblings-in-law, George Galway, Kevin Hutchings, George Newman, Gertrude Whelan, Emma Whelan, Shirley Russell and Joyce Coombs (Lawrence). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces& great nephews, family & friends.
