He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce A. Nelson; his sister Alice Manns; and his parents, Alvin Nelson and Betty Nelson. He is survived by: his children, Candy Mitseff (Brian Cozen), Jill Detmar (John), Dean Doty (Vanessa) and Neal Nelson (Sharon Starzak). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
