He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen M. Welty and Betty Jean Lusk Welty. He is survived by: his wife Susan of Thomson, IL; his daughters, Malinda "Mindy" Myers of Little York, IL. and Tristen S. Welty of Abingdon, IL.; his grandchildren, Devon Myers, Connor Myers, Lauren Welty and Tucker Welty; his great grandchildren, Aurora French and Kai McCormick; his half-brother Troy Welty; his sister Jennifer Clark (Welty); and his grandson Kyle Myers.
A memorial fund is being established for the American Heart Association.
