It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Victoria Renee Koker of Thompsonville, Illinois, who passed away on February 8, 2025, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband James Koker of Thompsonville, IL; her children, Daniel Zappa (Samatha) of Harrisburg, IL, Michael Bowlby (Lisa) of McLeansboro, IL, David Bowlby (Helen Mitchell) of Harrisburg, IL, Ashley Heil of Norris City, IL and Heather Travelstead (Nick) of Norris City, IL; her grandchildren, Kylie Zappa, Braxton Vaughn, Riley Shock, Makenzie Shock, Emeri Heil, Savanna Heil, Carlee Burks, Cassie Burks, Hunter Travelstead, Remington Travelstead and Raelynn Bowlby; and her brother Howard Keown (Lisa) of Alpine, CA..
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Gholson Funeral Home- McLeansboro (500 S Washington St, McLeansboro, IL 62859). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at the Wolf Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery (23 Wolf Creek Rd, Eldorado, IL 62930).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help with final expenses or to the McLeansboro Animal Shelter and will be accepted at Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro.
