Cord Fitch Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cord Fitch of Thompsonville, Illinois, born in Benton, Illinois, who passed away on June 16, 2022 at the age of 60. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Kenneth Fitch and Dorothy Fay Fitch (Arview); his father-in-law Jack Steinmetz; and his niece Jennifer Riley. He is survived by: his wife Stacey Lee Ann Steinmetz of Thompsonville, IL; his sons, Alexander Fitch (Nichole) of Belleville, IL and Corbin Fitch of Thompsonville, IL; his siblings, Marlene Dale (Jerry) of Logan, IL, Rita Graskewicz (John) of Thompsonville, IL, Marilyn McClure (John) of New Albany, IN, Barry Fitch (Phyllis) of Galatia, IL and Mark Fitch (Tonya) of Thompsonville, IL; his mother-in-law Judy Steinmetz of West Frankfort, IL; his sisters-in-law, Susan Cannon (Brent) of Pinckneyville, IL and Michelle Odle (Randy) of West Frankfort, IL; and his close friend Paul Miller (Phyllis) of Thompsonville, IL. He is also survived by his family and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Dennis "Cord" Fitch, to the Southern Illinois Steel Guitar Association, and will be accepted at the services, or may be mailed to the Leffler Funeral Home.
