It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Grace Ann Cole of Thebes, Illinois, born in Carterville, Illinois, who passed away on April 28, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rupert Ballard and Naomi Ballard (McKenzie); her brothers, Robert, Charles and Gary Ballard; her nieces, Rebecca Clifford and Judy Lavender; and her grandson Joe Daniel Schaffer, III.
She is survived by: her husband Lynn Cole of Thebes; her children, Lori Aufdenberg (Travis), Chris Cole (Ashley), Paula Ellis (Kenny) and Andrew Cole; and her sister Sharon Lavender (Roy). She is also survived by eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
