He was predeceased by: his parents, Ford Charles and Doris Meole Bevens, Sr.; his son Ford Bevens III; his siblings, Thelma Turner, Michael, Walt, Jerry and Alan Bevens; and his sisters-in-law, Dixie Reed and Barbara Bailey.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Powell of Olive Branch, Michael Bevens of Olive Branch and Crystal VanHorne of Houston, Texas; his siblings, Patrick Bevens (Linda) of Hot Springs, Arkansas, Elle Gray of Daniqua, Delores Ward (Michael) of Daniqua and Rose Bird of Plaquemine, Louisiana; and his siblings-in-law, Willa Simmons of McClure, Robert May of Thebes and Thomas May of Thebes. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
