He was predeceased by: his parents, William M. Nickell and Gladys F. Garst Nickell; his stepfather Harry W. Ausmus; and his sisters, Beth Havener and Marlene Baker.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Grigg; his siblings, Jane Castro, Dena Nickell, Vickie Hoskins, Sue, Kim Herr (Fred), Kathy Ausmus (Michele) and Steve Fellows (Juleen); his parents-in-law, Gerald and Evelyn Grigg; and his brother-in-law Jim Grigg (Debbie) of Auburn. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
