Sandra Jean Grooms Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sandra Jean Grooms of Thayer, Illinois, who passed away on March 3, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Jorgensen and Wilma Cole Jorgensen; and her husband Robert "Bob" Grooms. She is survived by: her great grandchild Gabriella Ann Brooks; her children, Kenneth Grooms (Laura) of Springfield and Becky Pierson (Danny) of Girard; her brother Robert Jorgensen (Hazel) of Decatur; her daughters-in-law, Sharon Grooms and Becky Grooms; and her sisters-in-law, Velma Rich, Cathy Grooms and Michelle Jorgensen. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to your local food pantry, and they will be accepted by Airsman & Calvert Funeral Home, who is honored to be caring for Sandy's family.
