He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Grooms and Olive Grooms (Hughes); his son Brian Keith Grooms; his great grandchild Gabriella; and his brothers, Kenneth, Donald and Dale.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Jorgensen; his children, Becky Pierson (Danny) of Girard and Kenneth Dale Grooms of Springfield; his daughter-in-law Becky Ann Grooms of Virden; and his sister Velma Rich of Virden. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
