She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Sledge and Ruby Sledge (Humphrey); her daughter Linda Leigh Hester (Simmons); her children-in-law, Tommy Lee Hester and Marcia M. Simmons (Thorsen); and her siblings, Walter R. Sledge, Lester F. Sledge, Edith M. Ellis (Sledge) and Mabel M. Alvis (Sledge).
She is survived by: her spouse Eugene Simmons; her sons, Gary G. Simmons of Kansas City and Ronald R. Simmons (Jo Ann); and her sisters, Wilma Nadine Jenkins (Sledge) of Centralia and Minnie Ann Maronski (Sledge) of Downingtown. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
