He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sue Hefner (Whitlock) of Texico; his daughter Gwendolyn Upton (Steve) of Texico; his granddaughter Brooklyn Upton of Texico; his siblings, Shirley Hawkins (Ronnie) of Mt. Vernon and Tom Hefner (Cindy) of Benton; his sister-in-law Gayle Hefner of Dahlgren Honorary; his uncle Sean Wilkey (Aleasha) of Dix Several; his brother James D. Hefner; and also Robin Sue Hefner.
