Knaus Jr. of Texico, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on November 24, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathryn Knaus (Tinlin) and Edgar F. Knaus; his children, Lana Keele (Knaus) and Lee Knaus; his brother Bob Gibson; and his grandparents, Clyde and Christine Knaus.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Jean Knaus (Bridges); his son-in-law Alan Keele; his siblings, Joyce McAfee-Sebring of Springfield, Shannon Woods (Duane) of Tallahassee, Florida, Joel Gibson (Dobbie) of Allen and Mike Gibson (Bonnie) of Rochester, Indiana; and his brother-in-law Don Keller (JonJee) of Doraville, Georgia. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made in his honor to Mount Vernon Elks Lodge 819 to be used for Veteran's flag cases and will be accepted at the Hughey Funeral Home at any time.
