Raymond J. Vahling Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Raymond J. Vahling of Teutopolis, Illinois, who passed away on April 3, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ferdinand A. "Ferd" Vahling and Anna H. Vahling (Osterhaus); his former wife Mary Louise Hartke; his daughter-in-law Brenda Vahling; his grandson Steven Jahn; and his sister Julie Lynch (Tim).
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Brumleve of Teutopolis; his children, Jane Jahn of Mahomet, Joe (Eileen) of Teutopolis, Dennis of Stewardson, Theresa Niccum of Fishers, IN, Tom (Cindy) of Teutopolis, Mark (Janet) of Newton, Bernie (Mona) of Teutopolis and Kenny (Amy) of Teutopolis; and his sisters, Rita Vahling, Joliet and Mary Meinhart (Dan) of Montrose. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be given to the Monastery Museum, Family Life Pregnancy Care Center, or for Mass stipends.
