Schalk of Teutopolis, Illinois, born in Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on June 28, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Bersig and Mary Bersig (Nacke); her former husband James McEnroe; her husband Edward A. Schalk; her daughter Mischelle Kay Capperune; and her brothers, Joseph H. and Daniel Bersig.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Colt Capperune of Ashland City, TN and Heather Capperune of Peoria; and her nephew Joe Bersig (Mary Etta). She is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
