She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward John and Teresa Ellen Maday (Beckstrom); and her brother Gilbert Maday. She is survived by: her husband William Thomas Arnold II (Tom); her children, Sarah Malcolm (Mitchell) of Springfield and William Thomas Arnold (Tommy); her brothers, Dennis Maday and Paul Maday (Vicki) of New Ulm, Minnesota.; and her grandchildren, Kaylin, Madeline, Kaden, Mikaela of Springfield, Benjamin and Lillian of Robinson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Smith Center for Alzheimer's Research and Treatment at SIU Medicine located in Springfield, Illinois, where Karen received treatment from professional, knowledgeable, and caring staff.
