We are sad to announce that on September 20, 2023, at the age of 87, Joyce Habing of Teutopolis, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Hakman and Loretta Hakman (Hutmacher); her husband George Habing; and her siblings-in-law, Sara Hammes, Lucy Hornbeck, Kathleen Nolan, Mary Jane McGee, Joyce Berchtold, Joseph and Patrick Habing.
She is survived by: her children, Jean Hess (David) of Rockford, Kathy Jones (Randy) of Effingham, Sara Roepke (Steve) of Effingham, Loretta Zane (Aaron) of Teutopolis, Jerry (Cheryl) of Effingham, Danny (Kathy) of Teutopolis, David (Maureen) of Teutopolis, Dean (Larissa) of Highland, Andy (Jennifer) of Teutopolis, Hank (Tori) of Green Creek and Stan (Julie) of Bishop Creek; her brothers, Ron Hakman (Madonna) of Effingham, Terry Hakman (Jean) of Neoga and Jim Hakman (Carole) of Teutopolis; and her brothers-in-law, Dennis Habing of Teutopolis and Alvin Hammes of Seneka, Kansas.. She is also survived by 11 children, 32 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to Catholic Charities or the Knights of Columbus Tower Project.
