With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Fred J. Meyer of Teutopolis, Illinois, who passed away on September 7, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Meyer and Theresa Meyer (Waldhoff); his wife Marilyn E. Fuelle; his son-in-law Dave Spalding; his great grandchildren, Dalton Howell and Laney Jo Niebrugge; his siblings, Theresa Mae, Catherine Thoele (Harold "Foz"), Lawrence Meyer (Eileen), John Meyer Jr., Louie Meyer (Annie), Gene Meyer (Jeanie), Jim Meyer and Gerry Meyer (Susie); and his brothers-in-law, John "Jack" Fuelle and Frank Hoelscher.
He is survived by: his children, David Meyer (Margie) of Teutopolis, Ellen Howell (John) of Pinckneyville and Lynne Spalding (Tony Nelson) of Teutopolis; his sisters, Annie Kingery (Virgil) of Effingham and Lucille Buehnerkempe (Larry) of Teutopolis; his siblings-in-law, Sue Hoelscher of Effingham, Sheila Fuelle of Teutopolis, Joanie Meyer of Sigel, Joyce Koeberlein of Teutopolis and James Fuelle (Maryanne) of Terre Haute, IN; his grandchildren, Marcia Niebrugge (Scott), Mary Jo Kreke (Ed), Michael Howell (Ashlee), Melissa Higgerson (Mike), Mark Howell (Katie) and Bailey Estes (Jerrod); and his great grandchildren, Max, Zac, Bryce, Brett, Jason, Lily, Kinlee, Kase, Parker, Jackson, Milo, Branden, Kaiden, Carter, Jonah and Quinn.
