Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Barbara Kirie Stewart of Tennessee, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 76, on April 2, 2023. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Kirie and Lily Kirie; and her sister Dorothy Kirie Kinnaird. She is survived by: her brother-in-law Ralph Burke Kinnaird; her nephew James Burke Kinnaird; and her niece Katherine Anne Kirie Kinnaird.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either the Tennessee YMCA Center for Civic Engagement in support of youth in government learning experiences (1000 Church Street, Nashville, TN 37203) OR to the Brentwood Academy's Barbara Stewart Endowed History Chair Fund (219 Granny White Pike, Brentwood, TN 37027) in support of learning in the History Department in which she taught for 50 years.
