It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Yates Stewart of Taylorville, Illinois, born in Palmyra, Illinois, who passed away on December 11, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Curtis and Bertha Blanche Stewart (Eyer); and his siblings, Joann Jones, Twyla McDonald, Alden and William Stewart.
He is survived by: his wife Gerry Stewart of Taylorville; his children, Connie King (Gary) of Taylorville, Brenda Borgic of Taylorville, Michael Stewart (Melodi) of Palmer and Robert Stewart of Taylorville; and his sister Helen Jones of Jacksonville. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
