He was predeceased by: his parents, William Earl and Gladys Sims (Jacobs); his siblings, Rita Maschke and Robert Sims; and his sisters-in-law, Lois Sims and Pat Sims.
He is survived by: his daughters, Melinie Richards (Derek) of Rochester, Kathy Jostes (David) of Rochester, Crystal Rora (Chris) of Taylorville, Laura Hughes (Sam) of Taylorville, Karla Watkins (Shawn) of Taylorville and Casandra Pinnell (Bryce) of Morrisonville; and his siblings, Richard Sims of Texas, Larry Sims (Linda) of Texas and Earlene Beaman (Jack) of Taylorville. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
