We are sad to announce that on January 26, 2023, at the age of 67, William Franklin Matthews of Taylorville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his brothers, Harold, Darold Matthews, Cecil Wayne Mathews and Albert Lewis Matthews (Sharon J.). He is survived by: his wife Sharon L. Matthews of Taylorville; his sisters-in-law, Carlene Matthews of Pawnee, Mary Jo Dively (Bill) of Taylorville, Kathy J. Noblet (Robert) of Taylorville and Rhonda J. Wagner (Steven) of Frankfort; and his nieces and nephews, Julie Emerson (Bart), Stacey Agans, Billy Matthews, Bill Dively, Jr., T. J. Dively, Josh Dively, Ronald Noblet, Col. Andrew Noblet, Matthew Noblet and Iris Noblet-Crites.
The family has asked that instead of gifts of flowers and plants, memorial contributions may be directed to: Trinity Lutheran Church, 1010 N. Webster Street, Taylorville, IL 62568. The family greatly appreciates donations made to these charities in William Franklin Matthews's name.
