He is survived by: his children, William Virgil Gilpin (Laura) of Taylorville, Scott Carroll Gilpin (Karen) of Arizona and Rebecca Hill (Norris) of Taylorville, Ill.. He is also survived by Nine Grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and several Nieces.
