It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tony Dan Whetsell of Taylorville, Illinois, born in Mattoon, Illinois, who passed away on August 17, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Whetsell and Thelma Whetsell (McKenzie); and his wife Carolyn Jean Reese. He is survived by: his children, Amy Whetsell (Cheryl) of Jonesboro, Andy Whetsell (Beth) of Taylorville and Aaron Whetsell (Heather) of Taylorville; his grandchildren, Sophie Whetsell, Jake Whetsell, Mallory Westrick and Macey Westrick; and his siblings, Kayla Grisson (Fred) of Mattoon and Matt Whetsell (Jamie) of Silver Springs.
