He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas E. Mayes and Doris Mayes Sr. (McIntosh); his stepfather Junior Weakley; and his great grandchild Kai. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Mayes of Taylorville; his children, Tammy Bowers (David) of Taylorville, Timothy Mayes Jr. (Alicia) of Taylorville and Tiffany Mayes of Taylorville; his grandchildren, David, Emma, Chloe, Timothy, Taylor and Roy; and his siblings, Brenda, Terry, Ted, Bonnie, Connie and Roberta. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
