It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby Maxcene Clampitt of Taylorville, Illinois, who passed away on January 31, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Willis Edwin and Jessie Mae Phipps (Carlton); her husband William Clampitt; her son Thomas Ira Langdon; her grandchildren, John Eric Langdon, James Avery Langdon, Monica Ann Wooten and Vicky Lynn Wooten; and her siblings, Violet Baldwin, Ruth Martin, Thelma Foley, Lola Beckmer, Charley, Glenn, Harold and Johnny Phipps.
She is survived by: her children, Janice Thompson (Danny) of Grain Valley, Missouri and Ronald Langdon of Pasadena, Texas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
