He is survived by: his wife Wilma E. Pontious; his children, Connie Lynn Schmidt (Nick) of Lewisville, Deanna Jo Strahl (John) of San Antonio, Cristie Sue Kesterson (Jeff) of Taylorville Anthony and Georgia; his grandchildren, Nicholas W. Lock, John M. Strahl III (Brooke), Wesley Jo Strahl (Luisa), Taryn E. Strahl, Chelsea M. Prehn (Ryan) and Lucas R. Kesterson (Holly); and his great grandchildren, Madeline Prehn, Lillian Prehn, Elliana Prehn, Casey Kesterson, Avery Strahl and Leah Kesterson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
