He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Henry and Althea Elna Harper Sr. (Foster); and his brothers, Wilbern, Glenn, James, Donald and Eddie Harper.
He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Harper of Taylorville, IL; his daughters, Kathleen Richards (Ray) of Taylorville, IL and Marilyn Sturek (Christopher) of Bailey, CO; his grandchildren, Melony Dorton (Wharton) of Taylorville, Mirka Sturek of Durango, CO and Braden Sturek of Boulder, CO; his great grandchildren, Mia Dorton and Tyler Dorton; and his brother John "Butch" Harper of Assumption, IL. He is also survived by Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
