With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Max Ellinger of Taylorville, Illinois, born in Pana, Illinois, who passed away on August 6, 2021 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ellinger and Velma Ellinger (Bond); his wife Maxine M. Miller; his brother Billy C. Ellinger; and his son-in-law John Wilcox.
He is survived by: his children, Marie Wilcox (Mike) of Springfield, Bruce Ellinger (Patti) of Taylorville, Vicki McMahon (Rod) of Taylorville and Valerie Ellinger (Jim) of Taylorville; his grandchildren, Aubrey Ellinger (T. J.) of Erin Ellinger, D. J., Brian Wilcox (Tracee), Stefanie Colonius (Georges), Megan Hallberg (Ethan), Lindsay Fox (Brandon) and Maxx Ellinger; and his great grandchildren, Jackson Fritz, Olivia Hallberg, Sydney Hallberg, Grayson Ellinger, Teegan Jones, Samson Colonius, Daniel Colonius, Amos Colonius, Ezekiel Colonius, Kelsey Colonius, Kinsley Colonius and Dean Fox. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
