Linda Sue left this world on November 13, 2024 at the age of 74, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Barber and Mary Lou Barber (Wente); her husband James L. Shafer; and her daughter Dana Lynn Dickerson. She is survived by: her children, David J. Dickerson (Jenny) of Fishers, IN, Joseph T. Shafer (Patty) of Elgin, IL and Dacia A. Nisbet (Tim Passoni) of Normal, IL; her grandchildren, Averi Nisbet Nick Norman (Jacob Carver), Noah Passoni, Kynnedi Goldstein, Laney Dickerson, Molly Shafer, Korbyn Passoni, Jack Shafer and Quynn Passoni; and her siblings, Sharon Holderfield (Terry) of Mattoon, IL, Ronald Barber (Annie) of Charleston, IL and Kenneth Barber (Velma) of California. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Shafer-Perfetti & Assalley Funeral Home (202 W Franklin St, Taylorville, IL 62568). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials to honor Linda may be made to Quad County Hospice or to the American Lung Association.
