He was predeceased by: his parents, Ardel Ganey and Betty Lou Ganey (Jacobs); and his cousins, Denis Ganey, Kathleen Ganey and Deborah Dougherty.
He is survived by: his siblings, James Ganey (Betsy Smith), Bridget Ganey, Heather Mills (Steve) and Patrick Ganey (Sara); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jake Phillips-Kaylie (Trisha), Keagan, Cole, Camri, Clark Mills-George (Beth Dinges), Teddy, Oscar, Bridget Jones-Hadley (Bryan), Holden, Hayden, Hannah, Maggie, James, Sean and Mary Ganey. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews.
