It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kay Carol Champley of Taylorville, Illinois, who passed away on December 9, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Abe Girard and Mavis "Mickey" Girard (Martin); and her brother Jack Girard. She is survived by: her former husband Phillip Champley; her children, Rick Champley (Lisa) of Taylorville, Phyllis Rosenthal (Jon) of Taylorville and Phil Champley (Rhoda) of Taylorville; her grandchildren, Kurt (Joellen), Kyle, Katelyn (Brian), Kregg, Karson, Karter, Kelsi and Kord (Madisyn); her great grandchildren, Jade, Justin, Jalen, Jagger, Shey, Cooper, Briggs, Laker, Ellie, Beckett and Cainen; her sister Bev Bergschneider; her close friend Tracy Mills; and her pet Herbie. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws.
