He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Young and Catherine Young (Thompson); and his daughter Cathy. He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. Young of Taylorville; his children, Michelle Young of Forest Park and John P. Young of Taylorville; his grandchildren, Thomas Young of Taylorville and Torrey Langan of Taylorville; and his siblings, Phillip Young (Sharry) of Oceanside, CA and Margaret Verardi (Ron) of Taylorville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
