He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Frederick and Marie Ellen Curtin (Colbrook); his wife Alice Faye Carpenter; and his siblings, Catherine Trueblood, Leo Curtin, William Curtin and Dorothy Tracy.

He is survived by: his children, Fred Curtin of Stonington, Chuck Curtin of Stonington, Beth Vincent (Glenn) of Mt. Auburn, Mary May of Taylorville, Cathy Wernsing (Mitch) of Rochester and Jim Curtin (Shelly) of Taylorville; and his brothers, Larry Curtin of Taylorville and Paul Curtin (Gail) of Lisle. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
