With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janice Funderburk of Taylorville, Illinois, who passed away on February 14, 2025 at the age of 99. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Janice Funderburk to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Dayton and Lauren Mae Armitage (Hill); her spouse R. Halden Funderburk; and her son Mark. She is survived by: her children, Lynn Funderburk (Sharon) of Morrisonville, IL, Beverly Smith (Mike) of Peoria, AZ, Nancy Spooner (Terry) of Peoria, IL and Judy Walden of Girard, IL; and her sisters, Ronella Hawkins of Honolulu, HI and Dorothy Craig of Morrisonville, IL.. She is also survived by five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church (200 S Walnut St, Taylorville, IL 62568). A memorial service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Taylorville or to the University of Illinois 4-H House Cooperative.
